Hey there,
We just crossed $100,000 CAD in six days.
That’s the fastest 100K ever for one of our campaigns.

For comparison:
- The first Photo Tour campaign hit that mark on day 10.
- DNA, Habitopia, Synthesis reached it on day 19.
So yes, this one’s moving at a great pace. After the initial surge, things are calmer now, and that’s expected. Every Kickstarter has that rhythm: fast at the start, steady in the middle, and then another push at the end.
And hey, if you still haven’t backed, here’s the link. Go check out all the cool stuff we packed into this campaign, and maybe think again. Just saying.
Because while the numbers are exciting, the real work right now isn’t watching the graph climb, it’s making sure it keeps moving.
Where My Focus Is Right Now
That means ads.
Our budget is tiny, so the challenge is squeezing every bit of return out of each dollar. This is one of those behind-the-scenes skills I’ve had to learn over the past three years. And honestly, it’s become essential.
Every day, I test new Facebook ad setups. Different audiences. Different creative angles. Some days it’s frustrating, like watching a few hundred dollars vanish with no backers to show for it. Other days it’s magic, like getting backers at the same cost as email subscribers (that actually happened on day one).
And as much as I’m analyzing numbers, I’m also learning how to present the game in ways that catch attention. Which brings me to the other part of my daily grind.
Learning Design, Again
Another skill I’ve been leveling up is graphic design.
I’ve always been at home in Photoshop from my photography days (color grading, editing, all that). But now, I’m diving deeper into layout tools and even Blender for 3D visualization.
Every single ad image and social post you’ve seen these past week? That’s me behind the screen. I hope the aesthetics click with you. And if these ads annoy you a little, at least they’re annoyingly beautiful, I guess…

The funny thing is, both ads and design feed into the same goal: telling the story of Photo Tour in a way that makes people want to join in. And when you put so much of yourself into that, it’s hard not to get emotionally tied to the results.
Christmas Morning, Every Day
That’s why this campaign feels like Christmas morning, every morning.
The first thing I do after opening my eyes is check the numbers. Every 20–30 minutes, I’m refreshing the page. Sometimes it’s pure joy, sometimes disappointment. The presents aren’t guaranteed.
Even after running several campaigns, I still take it all very personally. Every mistake stings. But the more support Photo Tour receives, the more warmth I feel in my chest. So thank you for backing, for commenting, for being here. It means more than you know.
Quick Note on Other Projects
And don’t worry, if you’re waiting on DNA, Habitopia, and Synthesis, I haven’t forgotten you. Progress is slower than I hoped, but the work is ongoing. Next issue will be dedicated entirely to that campaign. Thanks for your patience.
Take care,
— Eugene
